  2. Set your filter field and value.
  3. Add more rows with + if needed.

Barcode Scanning

Most Inventory pages have a Scan button in the bottom toolbar. Tap it to use the device camera, or use a paired Bluetooth scanner.

What barcodes fill in

Barcode TypeWhat It Fills In
Item barcodeItem ID, description, and cost
Location barcodeLocation field
Serial or RFID barcodeSerial/Lot or RFID field
Shorthand barcodeMultiple fields at once (item, quantity, location, lot)

Tips

  • Hold the camera steady and align the barcode in the viewfinder.
  • A Bluetooth scanner works like a keyboard. The active field receives the scan.
  • If a scanned item is not found, the app refreshes its local cache and tries again.

Cycle Count

Cycle counts are covered on a separate page. See Mobile Cycle Count.

Tips

  • Confirm you are in the correct warehouse before starting any transaction.
  • Scan location barcodes instead of typing to reduce entry errors.
  • Use Pending Transactions to queue multiple moves or issues, then process them together.
  • Add a Remark to unusual transactions to explain them in the audit trail.
  • Double-check serial and lot entries before submitting - corrections after posting require a manual adjustment.
