Account Security Options allows you to alter the security settings of your Inventory Pro system. The available security options are:
- Max Login Attempts: Sets the number of times login can be attempted from a network location before it is temporarily blocked. A Super Admin can clear these lockouts via Utilities → Other Utilities → Maintenance → Reset Lockout Session.
- Login Failed Lockout: Sets whether or not an account that has failed a certain number of attempts should be locked out of the system.
- Login Failed Threshold: The number of login attempts that can be failed before the account is locked out.
- Login Failed Window: How long to keep track of the number of failed login attempts.
- Session Timeout: The time of inactivity after which one is automatically logged out of Inventory Pro.
- Password Minimum Length: The minimum number of characters in a password.
- Password Maximum Age: The number of days after which a user must choose a new password.
- Password Allow Admin Reset: Allows administrators to reset other users’ passwords. If this setting is disabled, only super admins or the user themselves can change their password.
- Password Force Reset: If an admin has reset a user’s password, tell them to make a new one once they log in again.
- Password Minimum Complexity: The amount of password complexity below which the user will be warned that their password is too weak.
- Password Force Complexity: Require the user to use passwords at or above the minimum complexity level.
- Old Password Logging: Store old passwords to prevent reuse.
- Old Password Logging Number: Number of previous passwords to store.
